Diplomate of Acupuncture
A Diplomate of Acupuncture is an acupuncturist who is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®). It is a considerable professional achievement to earn the designation Diplomate of Acupuncture (NCCAOM). NCCAOM certification indicates to employers, patients, and peers that one has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of acupuncture as defined by the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession. RN CEN TCRN BSN
I have been in healthcare for over 30 years, and began my registered nurse career as a Medevac Trauma nurse, and then worked with patients and their families in the Intensive Care Units and Emergency Department. TCRN is a specialty trauma care certification earned by experience, study, and passing a national certification examination. CEN is a similar type of earned certification for RNs who practice in emergency departments. I changed my nursing specialty to Behavioral Health after about 17 years of critical care, in my efforts to provide a more complete healing experience to my patients and their families.
